Kebbi sate set to release N150m for 22 hours power supply

The Kebbi State Government says it is set to release the sum of N150 million to the management of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company to restore power supply to the State.

The state Commissioner for Water Resources Sani Kangiwa, announced this in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday at a stakeholders meeting on power supply.

The meeting was held by the state government and the management of.

Kangiwa said the state government would partner with the company to ensure at least 22 hours power supply is restored in the state.

He added that this would also improve water supply in the rural communities.

Kangiwa also noted that the current administration had restored power supply to about 18 hours per day, adding that the supply was affected by the current shortfall in gas.

He further said that the government is committed to provision of social services to the people.

In addition, he explained that the state government was determined to raise the standards of living of the citizens of the state.

He called on the general public to continue to support good policies and programmes of the state government, adding that stability of power would generate employment.
