The suspect reportedly abducted the two siblings aged 13 and 8, while they were returning from extra-moral classes in the Satellite area of the state, took them to a shop at 63, Marwa Road, near Chemist Bus Stop, and exchanged them for bags of rice. The owner of the shop later learnt that Joshua was not the father of the children, but this was after he left with the bags of rice

John Ifeoma, a witnesses at the scene, explained that the real father of the two siblings suddenly showed up after Joshua left. The children’s father claimed they were hypnotised by their kidnapper and alerted the police

According to Daily Post, the children were later released to their biological father while the suspect was arrested, which said the police spokesperson in the state, Dolapo Badmus, confirmed the incident
