“Earth Dam construction, access road to the historical marshal caves and habitat restoration to ensure conservation of degraded lands in the reserve were considered as the long term,” he said.
He emphasized that ACReSAL, World Bank project deals with justification and deliverables, and urged the team to be prudent, trustworthy and focus on the implementation of the proposed projects.
On her part, the commissioner of culture and tourism, Asma’u Giade commended the state project coordinator and entire team for bringing this intervention to the Yankari Game Reserve.
She said the intervention is timely and will go a long way in solving most of the reserve’s challenges of encroachment and degradation of lands among others, and added that it will improve the revenue generation of the state.
