Tinubu’s arrival is expected at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Sunday, where he will be warmly received, Leadership Newspaper reports.

“Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the President-elect, will be flying from Paris to Abuja on Sunday,” the source confirmed.

It is worth recalling that Tinubu embarked on this latest trip on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, only two weeks after his return from a month-long vacation in France.

A statement issued by Tinubu’s media office and signed by Tunde Rahman highlighted that the purpose of the trip was to allow the President-elect to meticulously fine-tune his transition plans alongside his key aides, ensuring a smooth and well-prepared handover of power without any undue pressure.

“He will use the opportunity of the trip to finetune the transition plans and programmes, and his policy options with some of his key aides without unnecessary pressures and distractions,” the statement noted.

The statement further noted that in the course of the visit, Tinubu will also meet with investors and other key allies to market investment opportunities in the country as well as his administration’s readiness to create a business-friendly climate through policies and regulations.

“Already, meetings with multi-sectoral actors in Europe’s business community, including manufacturing, agriculture, tech and energy have been lined up.

“Asíwájú Tinubu hopes to convince them of Nigeria’s readiness to do business under his leadership through mutually-beneficial partnerships premised on jobs creation and skills acquisition.

“Reviving the country’s economy forms a major plank of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda and the meeting is part of his efforts to re-establish Nigeria’s importance in the global economic chain and create empowering opportunities for the country’s huge youth population,” the statement added.
