In a message to his family and kinsmen in Offa, Kwara State on Monday, President Buhari expressed sadness that the nation had, of late, “been losing elder statesmen and indeed great men who have accomplished so much and impacted hugely on the lives of many Nigerians. Almighty Allah knows best. May they rest in peace.

“My thoughts are with the family of the deceased, his friends and the countless admirers he left behind in this hour of grief. The nation will miss him immensely. May his soul rest in peace,” the president said.
