Former Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has secured a huge appointment less than two weeks after the end of his time as Muhammadu Buhari’s minister.
Mohammed has been appointed as the managing partner of Ballard Partners, an international lobbying firm based in the United States of America.

The firm confirmed this in a tweet on its official twitter handle on Tuesday, June 6.
“Lai Mohammed, the immediate past Nigeria minister of information and culture, will serve as the managing partner of the Abuja office and the firm’s satellite office in Lagos, the nation’s financial centre.”
According to Brian Ballard, the firm’s president and founder, “Mohammed was given the role because he is one of the most respected officials in the country”.
Mohammed’s appointment is part of an expansion drive by the company into the African region with the opening of its first office in Abuja.
