Mmesoma Ejikeme reacts to JAMB’s alleged fake result
  • July 4, 2023
  • Unity Times

Mmesoma Ejikeme has finally spoken out after facing allegations of forging her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result.

In a video circulating online, Mmesoma can be seen holding a printout of her UTME result, claiming, “I don’t understand them saying I forged the result.”

She asserted that there may have been discrepancies from JAMB’s end as she printed out the result she was given.

Mmesoma, who reportedly scored 362 in the 2023 UTME, was recently awarded a N3 million scholarship by Innocent Chukwuma, Chairman of Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing Company.

JAMB, in a statement, cautioned the Nigerian public to exercise caution when encountering applicants boasting high UTME scores. This incident serves as a reminder to remain vigilant and verify claims before placing undue trust in such assertions.

The public’s response to the controversy has been mixed, with some doubting the possibility of Mmesoma fabricating her own result.

The Anambra State government, however, has disclosed that the candidate was indeed presenting a forged result. It was revealed that the government had initially planned to honour Mmesoma for her achievement, but the controversy came before the ceremony.

Meanwhile, Innoson Motors has pledged to conduct an independent investigation into the matter.

Cornel Osigwe, the Head of Communication for Innoson Motors, emphasised the company’s commitment to uncovering the truth. He stated that if their investigation reveals that Mmesoma did not manipulate her result, she will remain eligible for the scholarship. However, if she is found guilty of the accusations, the scholarship will be revoked.
