Tinubu leaves Abuja for Cotonou

President Bola Tinubu has departed Abuja on for Cotonou, Benin Republic, to attend the 63rd anniversary of the country’s independence.

Tinubu was accompanied by six governors: Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq (Kwara), Nasir Idris (Kebbi), and Mohammed Umar Bago (Niger).

The president’s spokesman, Dele Alake, said in a statement on Monday that Tinubu would be attending a series of events to mark the independence anniversary, including a military parade and a reception hosted by the Benin government.
