Sanwo-Olu offers support to Oyo govt over Ibadan explosion

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has extended his condolences to the people of Oyo State over the explosion that occurred in Ibadan on Tuesday.

Sanwo-Olu, in a statement on Wednesday, also expressed solidarity and readiness to support the Oyo State Government while commending Governor Seyi Makinde’s prompt response.

“I’m sending heartfelt condolences to Governor Seyi Makinde and the people of Oyo State on the tragic Ibadan explosion,” he wrote on X.

“My thoughts are with the families of the victims. This is a disheartening incident that calls for unity and support in these challenging times.

“Commendable efforts by Governor Makinde for the swift response and deployment of first responders in the wake of the disaster.”

Sanwo-Olu also called for the collaboration of agencies and rescue operations, which he said is crucial.

He added that the people of Lagos stand in solidarity with their brothers and sisters in Oyo State.

Sanwo-Olu also expressed the readiness of the Lagos State Government to provide any support required by Oyo State.
