Others elected include: Vice Chairman-Dr Nce Njaka Esq, Secretary-Kenneth Ogbonna Esq, Assistant Secretary-Adiele Nnenna Sandra Esq, Financial Secretary-Acp Cc Onwumere Esq, Treasurer-O.A. Torty Esq,  Welfare Officer- H/W Tochi Amah, Provost- Onyi Jombo-Offor Esq, and Publicity/Pro-Barr.Machie.

In his speech, the new president, Oscar Chukwuma Okoro, who sees his election as a call to higher responsibility, says the rebirth of the group is timely.

“Distinguished Learned Justices, esteemed members of the Bench, Learned Seniors, Colleagues and gentlemen of the learned profession, I stand tall today to say that the rebirth of this body is timely, deserving and worthwhile. Lawyers stand out in the noble affairs of men. We are at this time called to serve you without personal interest or benefits but to see to the renaissance of this great assembly of great minds. At the risk of sounding immodest, we have been serving and filling this gap without waiting for legal imprimatur because we love you and love Aro.”

He also acknowledged that the group had experienced an undue setback for a period.

“For a reasonable period of time, the “Aro Bar” experienced undue lull and setback due to the death of our former Chairman, late Mazi Ndionyema, Ugwu Aro. His tenure was memorable and left enduring legacies. We do heartily miss him. May his soul continue to rest.”

Okoro called on all members to come together and work for the greater Aro Bar, and Aro Kingdom:

“I call on you my learned colleagues to join us, to cheer and to chat the course of dynamic and vibrant Aro Bar in our bid to restore the integrity and glory of our Association and for sustainable growth and development of Aro kingdom.”
