Not fewer than 28 women, aged and persons living with disabilities from the 10 Federal Constituencies of Akwa Ibom State, resident in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, smiled home with different cash gifts and support on Sunday 9th March, courtesy of the Special Assistant to Akwa Ibom State Governor on Mobilization in Abuja, Comrade Kingsley Iwok.

The event which was held at the Akwa Ibom house in Abuja, attracts personalities, leaders, and members of the Akwa Ibom Community in Abuja.
Flagging off the programme, Comrade Iwok extolled the remarkable legacy of the Akwa Ibom State First Lady, Pastor (Mrs) Patience Umo Eno; the progenitor of Golden Initiative For All (GIFA) which has transformed countless lives and also lauded the Coordinator, office of the First Lady, Akwa Ibom State, Lady Helen Eno Obareki, for sustaining the legacies of GIFA.
Iwok said he was moved to initiate the Empowerment scheme, following several passionate requests he received from women groups, elders and vulnerable individuals to replicate and extend GIFA’s programme in Abuja
Comrade Iwok particularly appreciated his boss, the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno for creating the platform for which the empowerment programme happened.
He called on Akwa Ibom Indigenes at home and in the diaspora to support Governor Umo Eno’s administration and his ARISE Agenda to succeed. He commended the leadership of Akwa Ibom community Abuja for their support.





Earlier on, the President of Akwa Ibom Community, Abuja, Barr. Aniefiok Ibah expressed gratitude to the Special Assistant to the Governor on Mobilization Abuja, Comrade Iwok for bringing the Golden Initiative for All (GIFA) to Abuja acknowledging the Special Assistant’s effort in making the Community feel the programme impact which aligns with the ARISE Agenda of the State government.
Barr Ibah who was the Chairman on the occasion maintained that the beneficiaries were carefully selected from the 3 Senatorial Districts and 10 Federal Constituency Associations of Akwa Ibom State including the most needy and the vulnerable who have been given a sense of belonging through GIFA.
The President encouraged other well meaning Akwa Ibom indigenes to support the Pet Project of Her Excellency emphasizing it’s importance in the State.
Some of the beneficiaries also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Akwa Ibom State Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, the Coordinator, Office of the First Lady, Lady Helen Eno Obareki and the Special Assistant to the Governor on Mobilization Abuja, Comrade Kingsley Iwok for bringing succor to them and prayed God’s blessings on him.
In her vote of thanks, Obongawan Dr. Dora Ebong commended Comrade Kingsley Iwok for his outstanding contributions to the Community service.
She commended the President of the Community for supporting Comrade Iwok. She encourage other well placed indigenes to emulate the exemplary gesture of Comrade Iwok.
