Ardo Heads to Court Over NDC Registration, Alleges Process Breach

A promoter of the All Democratic Alliance, Umar Ardo, has vowed to challenge the registration of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, accusing the electoral process of serious irregularities.

Speaking on Trust TV, Ardo insisted the party’s recognition by the Independent National Electoral Commission did not follow due process and would be tested in court.

He argued that while over 170 associations applied for registration ahead of 2027, the NDC bypassed key requirements and screening procedures.

“This is not about politics,” Ardo said. “It’s about due process and protecting electoral integrity.”

He maintained that his group met all conditions but was denied, raising concerns over transparency in party registration.
