Obi, Kwankwaso Join NDC, Push for Politics Without Courtroom Battles

Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso have officially joined the Nigeria Democratic Congress, calling for an end to internal party litigations.

At their formal reception in Abuja, both leaders urged members to focus on nation-building rather than legal battles.

“We want a peaceful platform,” Obi said. “No litigation, no distractions—just building Nigeria.”

Kwankwaso added that their move was driven by shared priorities, including education, youth empowerment, and national unity.

Their defection marks a major shift in opposition politics, as alliances begin to take shape ahead of the 2027 elections.
