Four Dead, 24 Injured in Delta Train Derailment

Nigeria’s rail transportation sector suffered a setback after a passenger train travelling along the Warri-Itakpe corridor derailed near Agbor in Delta State, leaving four people dead and at least 24 others injured.

Emergency responders, railway officials, and medical teams were deployed to the scene as rescue efforts commenced.

The incident has reignited concerns about rail safety standards, infrastructure maintenance, and operational oversight within Nigeria’s rapidly expanding railway network.
