The Lagos State government has sealed off two companies located in Lekki over noise pollution.

Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) said Monday night that it is part of its continuous endeavor to tackle noise pollution and other environmental violations in Lagos State.

“The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has taken action by sealing off Olaiya Foods Catering Services and Bukka Hut of Lekki Phase 1 today (Monday),” LASEPA wrote.

The agency added that the decision was a result of the persistent disregard of both companies for environmental regulations and their contribution to noise pollution.

Meanwhile, LASEPA has directed anyone who has a complaint to make to kindly send the full information to their DM on X and then fill out a complaint form via the link in their bio.

This came after an X user, Prince Iyke Etinosa (@princeezechukwu), lodged a complaint about a church programme going on on the street of Oloruntoyin in Bariga, Shomolu.

“The street has been on lockdown every evening for two weeks now. Once the church programme starts, no vehicle uses that part of the road, and the people live with the nosie until it ends,” Etinosa said.
