President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria has departed Saudi Arabia and is en route to Bissau, the capital of Guinea-Bissau.
He is heeding the invitation of President Umaro Sissoco Embalo to join in the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of Guinea-Bissau’s independence.

According to a statement earlier in the day by presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria on Thursday.
