Members of the Northern Senators Forum (NSF) have visited the Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani, over the tragic accidental bombing of villagers at Tudun Biri community in the Igabi local government area of the state to sympathise with the state government.

The Northern Senators also jointly donated the sum of N58 million to the community.

According to Governor Uba Sani, the Northern Senators Forum, led by Senator Abdul Ningi, has also joined the call for a thorough investigation into the unfortunate incident and for exemplary punishment to be meted out to those found culpable of the tragic error to serve as a deterrent to others.

Governor Sani disclosed these on his verified X handle (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, shortly after the visit.

“I had the honor and privilege of receiving Distinguished Senators of the Federal Republic under the auspices of the Northern Senators Forum, who were in Kaduna to condole with the government and people of Kaduna State over the unfortunate Tudun Biri military drone attack.

“They donated the sum of N58 million to the families of the victims of the unfortunate incident,” he tweeted.

He further urged the lawmakers to take a critical look into the nation’s laws and update them so as to strengthen Nigeria’s security agencies.

“It is by strengthening our laws and the security architecture that we can avert future tragic occurrences.

“I thanked them for their show of solidarity and support for our people at this crucial moment,” Governor Sani added.
