During a chat on Channels Television’s Politics Today, on Thursday, January 2, Rhodes-Vivour said he has not given up on becoming a governor in Lagos State.
“By God’s grace, yes,” Rhodes-Vivour said.
He, however, did not state if he would be leaving his party (LP) to contest under a different party in 2027.
“I believe that if all parties do not come together, it is going to be a waste of time running in 2027 because there is a full state capture happening in this country now.
“We cannot afford for the opposition to be separate. For now, my job is to ensure that I have a strong party—Labour Party,” he said.
Rhodes-Vivour contested the 2023 governorship election in Lagos State under the platform of the Labour Party against the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress.
