The Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker Mudashiru Obasa has been impeached the Assembly members over multiple fraudulent allegations.

Obasa was removed by the lawmakers during a plenary on Monday.

Details surrounding the speaker’s removal are still sketchy as of press time.

However, the Deputy Speaker of the House, Mojisola Meranda, has replaced Obasa as Speaker.
