The Lagos State Government has dismissed reports claiming Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu was asked to resign over health concerns, labeling the story as false and misleading.

In a statement, the governor’s media aide, Gboyega Akosile, said there was no truth to the claims, insisting the governor remains in good health and actively performing his duties.

“Governor Sanwo-Olu is fit, sound, and fully engaged in governance,” the statement said.

The government also clarified that a recent meeting between the governor and his deputy, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, was routine and cordial—not linked to any leadership transition.

Authorities urged the public to disregard the report, describing it as part of a pattern of misinformation.
