National Task Force Denies Sales Of Recruitment Form By CHRIS EKEKE

The National Taskforce on illegal importation/smuggling of smalls, light and chemical weapon has denied directing any person or group of persons to sell recruitment form or collect money on behalf of the organization.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Director General of the organization, Chief (Dr) Osita Emmanuel Okereke and made available to UNITY TIMES Friday in Abuja, yesterday.

The organization cautioned the public to be aware of the fact that some disbanded and suspended individuals formally with the organization, having ulterior motives to destroy and tarnish the good image of the National Taskforce had been reported to selling recruitment forms in Cross River, Anambra and Lagos states among others   to applicants willing to join the National Taskforce.

The statement reads in part, “We use this medium to state categorically, that the National Taskforce under the able Leadership of Chief (Dr.) Osita Emmanuel Okereke, OON has never instructed or directed any person or group of persons to sell or recruit anybody or group of persons for the Organization and any appointment letter that is issued not dully signed by the Director General is void and will be used against such person.

“You are therefore, warned to disassociate from these dubious individuals defrauding people. Any one or group of persons that transact or buy forms from them is doing so at his or her own risk. National Taskforce therefore, distant
herself from any distortion from the public and the consequences for this ugly act now and in the near future. This shows clearly their numerous attempts, calculated plot and strategies to sabotage the efforts of the National Taskforce under the leadership of Chief (Dr.) Osita E. Okereke, OON in repositioning the organization for the future.

“However, we wish to inform Nigerians that National Taskforce is currently undergoing restructuring and rebranding all over the Federation. We would in a short time unveil our new operational guidelines and programs especially our plans to create 300 jobs in every Local Governments as a support to the Advancement of Unity, Peace and progress of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as well as complimenting the job creation initiative of President Muhammadu Buhari led administration.”
