INEC on trial Again: No electoral officer in Arochukwu 2hrs to Polls end

It’s barely two hours to the end of the 2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections, most polling units have not started accreditation, talk more of voting, as Electoral officers are yet to arrive.

Our correspondent in Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State said most of the polling units in the Area are yet to begin accreditation as electoral officers and materials are yet to arrive.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Abia North Senatorial District, Sen. Mao Ohuabunwa, is yet to cast his vote as no electoral officer was found in his polling unit.

Sen. Ohuabunwa who is from Arochukwu, though hopeful for a fair, peaceful, transparent election, expressed worried on the situation on ground in his community.  He said, he is still waiting for the electoral officers to arrive in his polling unit, so he can vote and his people can also vote. He believes nobody or citizen should be disenfranchised in such a decisive election as this.
