Imo Guber: PDP Screens Ihedioha, Anyanwu

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Screening Committee, is expected to screen all governorship aspirants in the party in Imo State chapter, on March 21, 2023. At the moment, only two governorship aspirants in the state PDP, namely former governor of the state, Hon Emeka Ihedioha and the party’s national secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, have signaled interest to vie for the
governorship ticket of the party.
The party’s governorship primary is expected to hold on April 14, 2023. The screening is expected to take place at NWC hall, PDP National Headquarters.
A source revealed that a seven-man committee has been constituted to screen the governorship aspirants.
The committee is headed by former Benue State governor, Gabriel Suswan, while Senator Chukwuma Utazi, Prof Anthony Igbokwe, Barr Fani Bandawa, Hon Binta Bello, Hon Tajudeen Yusuf would serve as members and Chief Hon. Ugwu James, the party’s zonal secretary, will serve as secretary of the committee.
