Nigerian Army reunites rescued girl with family

Yakura-Jalori-rescued-by-Nigerian-troops (1)

Nigerian troops of Sector 3 Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) on 10 April 2023 rescued a seven-year-old girl, Yakura Jalori, who was kidnapped by suspected Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists.

MNJTF spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Kamarudeen Adegoke in a statement said the troops, who were on a fighting patrol, engaged the terrorists and killed three of them and rescued the girl.

He said the troops recovered from the terrorists the sum of N54,104, one AK 47 rifle, one AK 47 rifle magazine and four rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition.

Also other recovered items include three mobile phones, two cutlasses, one digger, three Sim cards and one torch light.

The troops have reunited the kidnap victim with her family.
