The management of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, has approved free transportation for its staff to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal.
The institution’s management said the transportation palliative was approved to complement the efforts of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq in making life comfortable for the people of the state.
A statement signed by the principal assistant registrar, Mrs Animssahun Oluwaseun, yesterday said the palliative took effect from August 1, 2023.
It said the bus would convey members of staff from the Post Office and Oja-Oba to and from the institution’s permanent campus on a daily basis.
The institution said the take-off time is 7:30am on a daily basis and closes at 4:00pm while employees will use their identity cards as a pass for the bus.
