IGP pledges support for teen’s security, wellbeing

The Inspector General of Police, kayode Egbetukon has pledged support for projects and activities that will enhance security and wellbeing of Nigerian teenagers.

IGP made this commitment when the Board and Management Team of Princess Anita Teens Development initiative, PATDI paid him a visit on 25th of July 2023, at his office in Force headquarters Louis Edet House, Abuja.

The visit led by the head of the NGO, Amb Princess Anita Umeweni, the African Teens Ambassador, was to officially intimate the IGP about the existing relationship between PATDI and the Nigerian Police Force, NPF through NPF gender unit, and also to give investiture to the IGP as the grand patron of the organization.

PATDI is a registered Nigerian NGO saddled with the responsibility of coaching and mentoring of teenagers, and with Mandates to fight against child – related offenders and criminals, ensures victims of rape (Teens), illegal immigration, child labour, sexual harassment from lecturers are arrested and persecuted through collaboration with Nigerian Police Force Gender unit

Amb Princess Anita Umeweni was accompanied by members of the NGO’s Board including Dr. Mohammed Sanni Ladan, Executive Secretary Secondary Education Board, Alhaji Ayinde Sooaga , Consultant at ARCN TV, Ms Irene osakwe and Ms Amaka Eze.
