Police Parade Suspected Kidnappers Of Hon. Sani Bello

The Nigeria Police, yesterday, paraded arrested suspected notorious kidnap for ransom gang that has been linked to kidnapping  and violent crimes along  Kaduna-Abuja and its environs.
The suspects, Haruna Adamu, 25 yrs Gang Leader, Shaibu Adamu, 18 and Abubakar Saidu, 30‎ were arrested‎ were arrested after coordinated and painstaking investigation by the Intelligence Response Team(IRT) of the IGP’s monitoring unit.

Also, the sum of N250, 000.00 was recovered buried in the village of one of the suspects; in addition to a Gione phone, allegedly used for negotiation.

According to the Force PRO, DCP Don Awonah, “these dare devil gangsters were responsible for the kidnap of Hon Sani Bello, a current member the House of Representatives, on August, 2, 2016 in his farm along Kaduna –Abuja road and also, the Kidnap of other persons were traced to them.

He explained that “the suspects were trailed and rounded up at Ungwan Kawu village in Dan Dumi L.G.A in Katsina State.

“During interrogation, the suspects voluntarily confessed to the commission of the offence   and also admitted to the various roles individually and collectively played in their criminal enterprise.”

Meanwhile, one of the suspects, Shaibu Adamu said the gang collected N10 million ransom from the victim.

The police, while assuring members of the public of its determination to protect citizens, noted that the arrested suspects, who are assisting the Police to apprehend other fleeing members of the gang, will soon be arraigned in court for justice to take its course.
