Taraba Guber: PDP’s  Agbu Taraba declared winner

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Kefas Agbu, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as the winner of the March 18 governorship election in Tarawa State.

Agbu was declared Taraba Governor-elect on Tuesday morning, by the INEC Returning Officer in the State, Prof M.A. Abdulazeez.

He polled 257,926 votes to defeat his closest opponent, the candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Muhammad Yahaya, who scored 202,277 votes.

Emmanuel Bwacha, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), secured 142,502 votes.
