He said, “However, the corps intensified efforts in its patrol and surveillance and luck ran out of one of the suspected kidnappers, Muhammad Sani Rinji on October 15, 2023.”

The commandant said the suspect was arrested by “our officers working with Nasarawa State Command in Lafia, based on credible intelligence.”

Oyejide said during interrogation, the suspect agreed to all the allegations that they were responsible for the series of kidnapping and armed robbery activities in Toro LGA and beyond, adding that “he gave a vivid account of his involvement in the kidnapping business.”

He said a suspected fake medical doctor, Usman Sadique Yelwa, working with the state’s General Hospital, Misau, was also arrested based on credible intelligence and now helping the corps in its investigation.
