The National Examinations Council (NECO) says it has not extended the closing date for the 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal Registration.
A statement signed by a spokesperson for the organisation, Azeez Sani, said the registration, which started on Monday, December 18, 2023, will close on Monday, June 3, 2024.

The statement added that late registration, which attracts a late registration fee, is scheduled to take place between June 4, 2024, and June 10, 2024.
The Council therefore enjoined candidates, school principals, commandants, state ministries of education, and other stakeholders to disregard social media posts claiming that the registration period has been extended to June 20, 2024.
The 2024 SSCE Internal will commence on June 19, 2024, and end on July 26, 2024, and candidates will be assessed in 76 subjects during the examination.
