Dickson rejects claims NDC is APC proxy

Senator Seriake Dickson has dismissed claims that the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) is aligned with the ruling All Progressives Congress.

The former Bayelsa governor insisted the party is independent and was duly registered by the Independent National Electoral Commission following a valid court order.

Dickson described allegations linking the party to the APC as baseless, stressing that Nigerians have the constitutional right to form and join political parties freely.

He said the NDC remains open to collaboration but is not a proxy for any existing political platform.
