Court refuses bid to bar Senator Kingibe from ADC activities

A Federal High Court in Abuja has declined a request to bar Senator Ireti Kingibe from participating in activities of the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

Justice Peter Lifu ruled that the senator must first be given an opportunity to respond to the allegations against her before any decision is taken.

The suit, filed by ward executives, stems from claims of anti-party activities and her alleged suspension.

The court ordered that all processes be served on the senator and fixed April 20 for hearing.
