Operatives of the Anambra State Police Command have arrested two ring leaders of the cult gang responsible for the killings in Ihiala, Ihiala local government area of the state.

In a special operation carried out by the Police Crack Squad deployed to Ihiala by the state commissioner of police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, to provide security for the people of Ihiala during and after the recent festive period, one Chitana Oha, male, 25 years, alias “Kill and Bury” was arrested.

Also nabbed was one Emmanuel Ifeanyi Okonkwo, male, 24 years alias “Good and Bad”.

The police spokesperson, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, said the suspects were arrested at their hideout in the Okija area.

He said the state police boss, who vowed to end the cult related killings in Ihiala the same way he stamped out a similar menace in Awka, the state capital city, has directed the crack squad to go all out against the cultists and clip their wings.

The state police command’s spokesman said Adeoye has assured members of the public that their security will continue to be the top priority of the command.
