Google, Slum2School launch AI-powered folktale book for underserved children

Google has partnered with Slum2School Africa to unveil an AI-powered folktale and colouring book aimed at improving learning access for children in underserved communities.

The project, titled “Stories from Our Home,” uses Google’s AI tool to transform African folklore into illustrated content for young learners.

Unveiled in Lagos, the initiative will see 1,000 copies distributed alongside educational materials to boost creativity and early learning.

Founder Otto Orondaam said the effort aligns with the group’s mission to use education to break the cycle of poverty, while reinforcing cultural identity among children.
