NATFORCE boss Alleges Plot To Hijack The Organisation
  • August 24, 2016
  • Unity Times

The Director General of National TaskForce (NATFORCE) Chief Osita Emmanuel Okereke has alleged that there is a plot by some external forces to hijack the activities of the organization which was formed in partnership with federal government to combat illegal importation of arms, ammunition and light weapons in the country.
Chief Okereke in a letter addressed to President Muhammadu Buhari, dated August 23, 2016 and exclusively made available to UNITY TIMES in Abuja, yesterday, said having served the organization as Director General in the last five years, he had recorded unprecedented achievements before a former Inspector General of Police allegedly used some mischief makers in the association to foment trouble with the sole aim of the retired IGP taking over the organization after the expiration of his
present assignment with the federal government.
“This same group in order to create uproar and confusion in the NATFORCE impersonated Federal Government of Nigeria by selling recruitment forms to innocent and unsuspecting members of the public at different prices in the name of the federal government”, he said.
“Their plan is clear and straight. Selling forms to innocent Nigerians in the name of Federal Government is to say the least the most unpatriotic act to be done by any Nigerian in this critical time when they know that no such arrangement existed between the federal government and NATFORCE. This act is capable of inciting youths of this country against government if after parting with various sumsranging from N25,000:00 to N30,000:00 without a job for them”, he
added.
The DG while revealing that those plotting to take over the organization are after his life, urged President Muhammadu Buhari to help save his life. “Lastly, your Excellency Sir, I humbly request
that you use your good office to save me from the hand of this group and save NATFORCE from being hijacked by people with sinister motive,” he said.
