The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) forecasts varying weather conditions between Monday and Wednesday, with widespread rainfall expected particularly across the southern region.

NiMet has also warned of possible flash floods in coastal areas.

The warning comes as Nigeria continues to experience the consequences of increasingly disruptive rainfall patterns, urban flooding and inadequate drainage infrastructure.

For motorists, farmers, residents of flood-prone communities and airline operators, the message is straightforward: weather is becoming an increasingly important economic and safety issue.
